BUYING EXPERIENCE https://youtu.be/ppX0qWi0rKQ QHD vs 4K It's QHD which means it's lower res than 4K, but higher res than 1080p, making it still high quality but no where near as taxing as a 4k monitor would be on your system performance. It tested it on a MacBook Pro 2016 and a standard MacBook, and they both worked great. PRICE Costs a fraction of the price of a 4K ultrawide. 34 INCHES The best thing however is the size, at 34inches it feels like two good sized 4:3 monitors side by side, rather than the usual monsters you get at the regular widescreen aspect ratio. ULTRAWIDE ASPECT RATIO At the ultrawide aspect ratio I find that most applications work better too, eg. in Final cut I tend to have the library on the left, the inspector open on the right, the timeline below and there's still enough space for a good sized video in the midde. When developing apps I find that having two coding windows size by side with my simulator running on my MacBook. "C" VERSION The version I bought was the 34UM88C which provides a HDMI connection to my Mac via a USB-C to HDMI adapter. I personally like this solution rather than the USB-C version of the monitor as it allows my monitor to connect to other HDMI devices, and it's cheaper. With the C configuration you also get movement in the stand. OVERALL Overall, it's a great buy!
