In this review we put on our lab coats and turn up the frame rate on our cameras to let you know if size really matters in the world of excessive Thunderbolt 3 gaming and video editing performance. We test using a 0.5 cable, a 2m cable displaying to the internal display of a MacBook Pro as well as the external display directly and via a HDMI adapter. In short, the performance deltas were very very slight, the main difference was seen when using a HDMI adapter, that dropped the frame rate in gaming by around 40%, but didn't effect performance in productivity operations like rendering in Final Cut Pro.
